Your Roles
Our clients needs expert advise and guidance in implementing solutions for managing and leveraging their data for improving their business. Your primary goal will be to help clients in designing, implementing and supporting data platforms that run critical workloads for our clients that drive business improvement. You will play a crucial role in understanding client requirements, proposing suitable solutions, and delivering them successfully. Your expertise in Linux servers, data platforms, DevOps, cloud services, cyber security, networking, Infrastructure-as-Code and data center hardware is crucial in assuring our clients that their data and data infrastructure are safe, working optimally and in good hands.
Description & Requirements
As a Senior IT Infrastructure role holder, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and operating Linux servers, open-source applications, virtualization solutions, storage arrays, and backup systems for both internal services and external customers. Key responsibilities include:
- Design Assurance: Collaborate with external and internal teams to uphold and maintain effective design and development standards.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support, problem diagnosis, and resolution for customers’ managed infrastructure.
- Continuous Service Improvement: Drive continuous service enhancements, including automation, patch management, and server optimization, along with relevant documentation and design updates. Introduce new technologies and innovations to improve efficiency and performance.
- Customer Engagement: Act as a direct point of contact for customers, addressing technological questions during the implementation phase and ongoing operations.
- Technical Supervision: Oversee a subset of technologies within the IT Infrastructure domain, ensuring effective management and utilization.
- Guideline Development: Define guidelines, standards, and working procedures for Linux, virtualization, storage, backup, and cloud technologies.
Professional Skills
- Extensive IT Infrastructure Experience: Several years of experience in the design, implementation, and management of IT infrastructure components, including servers, storage, and networking connectivity.
- Virtualization Expertise: Proficient in virtualization technologies, ideally Red Hat RHV, oVirt, KVM, VMWare, HCI or equivalent solutions.
- Network & Security Knowledge: Experience with network and security components such as routers, switches, and firewalls is a strong advantage.
- Cloud Technologies Proficiency: Skilled in cloud technologies, with a particular emphasis on containers and Kubernetes, is a significant plus.
- Linux Administration: In-depth knowledge of Linux operating system administration, including experience with backup and restore solutions.
- Certifications: Possession of certifications such as LPI, RHCSA, RHCE, or equivalent would be highly advantageous.

Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree, Diploma, or Professional Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- A minimum of 4-7 years of relevant working experience in IT infrastructure.
- Proficiency in the following areas: Enterprise Linux, Virtualization, Backup & Recovery, and Cloud Technologies.
- Salary starting from RM 7,000 – RM 10,000. Can be negotiable based on experience
