Your Roles
Our clients needs expert advise and guidance in implementing solutions for managing and leveraging their data for improving their business. Your primary goal will be to help clients in designing, implementing and supporting data platforms that run critical workloads for our clients that drive business improvement. You will play a crucial role in understanding client requirements, proposing suitable solutions, and delivering them successfully. Your expertise in Linux servers, data platforms, DevOps, cloud services, cyber security, networking, Infrastructure-as-Code and data center hardware is crucial in assuring our clients that their data and data infrastructure are safe, working optimally and in good hands.
Responsibilities
- Installing, configuring, testing and maintaining hardware infrastructure of Linux servers, virtualization solutions, operating systems, Linux-based open-source application, and system management tools. (Servers, data storage, backup and restore system, network switches)
- Working independently with appropriate oversight to perform application deployments (including containerized applications), troubleshooting and documentation
- Take ownership of specific small elements of projects and meet time, cost, and quality targets for their delivery
- Provide 2nd and 3rd level technical troubleshooting support and capability to provide a resolution and recommendation
- Maintain security, backup and redundancy strategies
- Liase with principals, business management and other IT personnel for problem resolution
- Deliver effective technology solutions that meet given specifications with review and mentoring by others in the engineering team
- Carry out assigned tasks and projects with good quality and ensure it is completed on schedule, within budget and meeting pre-defined scopes
- Troubleshoot Linux servers and workstations, perform root cause analysis (RCA), modifying configurations, diagnosing network and storage issues, scripting and other task as needed
- Timely submit (preventive maintenance and RCA) reports and report progress regularly to line manager on problems, incidents and assigned tasks and projects
- Keep up to date with current and future technology trends and work with other members of the project team to encourage the adoption of technical innovation where appropriate in solutions. This includes maintaining knowledge of industry and competitor developments
- Provides technical support to internal team in the use of personal computer equipment (e.g laptops, disk, drives, and laser printers) software and test personal computer and peripherals on the network to diagnose
- Completing examination for certification purposes and self-improvement
