Your Roles
Our clients needs expert advise and guidance in implementing solutions for managing and leveraging their data for improving their business. Your primary goal will be to help clients in designing, implementing and supporting data platforms that run critical workloads for our clients that drive business improvement. You will play a crucial role in understanding client requirements, proposing suitable solutions, and delivering them successfully. Your expertise in Linux servers, data platforms, DevOps, cloud services, cyber security, networking, Infrastructure-as-Code and data center hardware is crucial in assuring our clients that their data and data infrastructure are safe, working optimally and in good hands.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the sales team to understand client requirements and participate in pre-sales activities. Utilize your expertise to propose data solutions tailored to meet client needs and objectives.
- Take ownership of the proposed data solutions and drive their successful implementation. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, developers, and project managers, to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
- Establish strong relationships with clients and serve as their trusted advisor. Understand their pain points and objectives, and provide strategic guidance on how data solutions can address their business challenges.
- Lead and manage data engineering projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Proactively identify and mitigate risks to ensure smooth project execution.
- Proactively ensures continuous operations of our client data platforms, ensuring issues are handled effectively and rectified on time with minimal impact to business operations.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data engineering technologies, tools, and best practices. Leverage your technical knowledge to drive innovation and continuously improve our data solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or a related field.
- Ability to work independently and self directed.
- Passionate about solving technical problems independently as well collaboratively with the team
- Proven experience in platform design and administration including designing and implementing platforms for data warehouses, data lakes, APIs, ETL processes, data visualization, knowledge graphs, and bespoke applications.
- Strong understanding of system administration, system architecture, distributed computing, networking and Infrastructure-as-Code.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Bash, SQL or Cypher.
- Experience with source control software (git, svn, etc) and source control practices.
- Comfortable with learning new technologies and development languages as needed
- Hands on experience with deployment on major platforms (eg: Kubernetes, Docker, Linux, Cloud, etc)
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and stakeholders.
- Project management experience is a plus.

- Experience in implementing data platform utilizing technologies such as Spark, Kubernetes, Jupyter, Neo4j, KNIME, Cloudera, HPE Ezmeral, PostgreSQL, Citus, Presto, Trino, Hive, Airflow, Superset, NodeJS, MinIO, Rancher, Gitlab CE
