Pre-Sale Engineer

Job Description:

Analysing business requirements and creating technical specifications for solutions that align with organizational goals and objectives.
Collaborating with business stakeholders, project managers, and infrastructure teams to design and implement IT solutions that meet business needs.
Developing architectural solutions that ensure scalability, reliability, security, and maintainability.
Evaluating and recommending software and hardware products to support the delivery of IT solutions.
Conducting research on emerging technologies and trends and incorporating new technologies into architectural designs as appropriate.
Developing and maintaining architecture artifacts such as diagrams, models, and documentation to support communication with stakeholders.
Identifying and mitigating technical risks associated with solution delivery.
Collaborating with infrastructure teams to ensure that technical solutions align with infrastructure requirements.
Communicating technical solutions and their benefits to business stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Respond to RFQs/Tenders or pre-sales activities as and when required.
Attend client meetings with salespersons to ensure proposed solution meet the customer’s expectation and deadline.
Understand client’s requirement and gather the required information.
Generate technical proposal and Bill of Materials (BOM) that fully address client’s requirement.
Conduct Proofs of Concept (POC) exercise for the purpose of validating that the product or solution does meet the client’s requirement and expectation.
Conduct Presentations to customers on proposed solutions or new technologies.
Acquire the required product technical knowledge.

Requirements:

Degree/Diploma in Information Technology or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years of technical consulting experience or as a System engineer or pre-sale role in Server, Virtualization, backup, recovery, and/or cyber security.
Strong understanding of virtualization technologies and best practices, including VMware and Linux KVM.
Ability to evaluate and recommend hardware and software solutions for virtualization and storage, including servers, storage arrays, network devices, and backup solutions.
Knowledge of security best practices for IT infrastructure solutions, including access control and network segmentation.
Experience in Open-source solutions including Linux, MySQL, and Apache.
Experience working within the IT industries in Malaysia is highly desired.
Independent in handling assigned tasks and passionate about new and emerging technologies.
Strong customer service skills and demonstrated ability to build professional relationships.
Good communication and presentation skills.
Proficient in Malay and English languages.
